Fall Walk

Autumn Years

Let’s take a walk

Down memory lane

On this lovely fall day

And talk about our youth

*

We’ll walk under an awning.

Remembering our wooing

Overhead: red, orange, and gold

Reminding each other of our first kiss

*

Through the mist

We’ll travel through time

Calling to mind

A simpler time

When it was enough for us to be

<<< >>> <<< >>> <<< >>>

Let us take a walk.

Under the red and gold shade

And declare our love.

<<< >>> <<< >>> <<< >>>

We’ll take a walk.

On a chilly Autumn day

And remember our youth

When we first kissed

*

I’ll proclaim my love to you.

Under the leaves of fall

We’ll hold hands

As we did when we were kids

*

Take a walk with me.

Red, orange, and gold

I’ll remember for you

All the things you’ve forgotten.
