In the depths of the cosmic sea, so vast,
Beyond the stars, where mysteries amass,
There dwells a wonder, beyond our sight,
Extraterrestrial beings, in the realm of night.
With eyes that gaze across the endless expanse,
They traverse the void in a cosmic dance.
Their ships like comets, streaking through the sky,
A silent presence as they pass us by.
From distant worlds, they journey far,
Guided by the light of a distant star.
In search of knowledge, of truth untold,
Their wisdom ancient, their stories bold.
Their forms may vary, their languages strange,
Yet in their presence, we feel the change.
A glimpse of the infinite, beyond our grasp,
In the eyes of the extraterrestrial, we find our gasp. For in the presence of
the extraterrestrial, we find the awe of the celestial.

Perfect Little Pirate
The rough, sodden rope bit into her fingers as she swung over the roiling water far below. Reaching out with the toe of her boot, she managed to catch hold of the rain-soaked railing of the ship- and promptly slipped. Throwing herself forward, she landed hard on the deck, slamming her elbows against the wood planks. The sharp yelp of pain quickly bubbled into a laugh, and she rolled onto her back, laughing up at the gray sky as a torrent of rain washed away the soot covering her skin.
