Introduction

I wanted to try a new poetic form, and this challenge has allowed me to do this, but the sestina is too much for this, so I will give you an ekphrastic limerick, but I will write a sestina this weekend. I have something that I can apply the form to.

This is the challenge if you want to investigate:

The music is "Everything Stops For Tea" by Long John Baldry, written by Al Goodhart, Al Hoffman, and Maurice Sigler for the 1935 musical film Come Out of the Pantry.

Thank You So Much For Inviting Me

You Are Truly Mad, That I Can See

But Your Teacups And Teapot Are Great

I'm Now At Your Table And Can't Wait

To Now Stop For Your Wonderful Tea
