Escape

December 11, 2012

What I’ve always done

Is run.

Ironic, because,

I don’t do it well.

Shouldn’t one be good

At something they always do?

I get caught,

I get snared,

I get trapped,

In my mind.

It really isn’t that

Great a place to be.

Ironic, because,

I end up here a lot.

The décor lacks

Any imagination.

I wish to the sky

That I find my true place.

Star light, star bright,

First ball of fire I see tonight

I wish I may, with all my might

Have the wish I wish each night.

Shouldn’t one be good

At something they always do?
