Tyrannosaurus Rex was his name

Anyone who met him was never the same

He ruled and reigned in days gone by

Standing proud with head and shoulders to the sky

He was a legend in mythical lore

This brute of a beast, the chief carnivore

Gigantic in size he instilled much fear

Even birds stopped singing when T-Rex was near

Eyes flashing like lightning a voice booming as thunder

His steps shook the earth as the world he did plunder

The forest vibrated like the clash from a cymbal

Trees snapped like twigs and mountains would tremble

Tyrannical king of the lizards was he

At the sound of his approach, other creatures would flee

All creation reacted to the sound of his roar

Tyrannosaurus Rex, the ruling dinosaur

They freaked me out when I was a kid...still don't like the idea of dinosaurs...except for Barney :)
