Within the velvet expanse of night,
A fleet of shooting stars takes flight
Their brilliance a fleeting display,
A dance of light in cosmic ballet.
Each one a tale of cosmic dust,
A journey from the heavens thrust
Through time and space on silent wings,
A fleeting gift that swiftly sings.
They streak across the midnight sky,
A whispered wish from way up high
And in their wake, a trail of fire,
A blaze of beauty to admire.
But as they fade into the night,
Their radiance a wistful sight
We're left to ponder their brief glow,
A memory of the stars' cameo.
So let us cherish each shooting star,
A reminder of how near and far
The wonders of the universe lie,
In fleeting moments that pass us by.
