Enduring Love

A sonnet of Life-Long Devotion

In aged grace and quiet dignity,

They walk together, hand in hand, in peace,

Their love a bond of steadfast constancy,

That time nor distance ever could release.

Their eyes, now etched with lines of life's long trail,

Still sparkle with a love that burns as bright

As when their hearts were young and love's first tale

Was told with passion in the soft moonlight.

For they have shared a lifetime's worth of dreams,

And seen each other through both joy and pain,

And though they've weathered life's unceasing streams,

Their love has grown and deepened with each strain.

So here's to love that lasts through all life's years,

And shines a light that's never dulled by tears.
