Waiting for tomorrow to come when all is right in the world

The smell of sweet freedom

too far in the distance.

Longing for what used to be

on the outside of the world.

Tomorrow,

will it come true

for me to break free

from the cage we are imprisoned in

during his time?

Position we're pu,

nothing to be desired.

Always for one day to end

and the next to come.

Breaking out of his senseless routine,

to feel he sun on our faces,

air hitting our skin.

Waiting on the edge of tomorrow.

Hoping today will be the day

the chains will be cut,

bars raised,

and we can all return to our lives

as they once were.

Whenever tomorrow may come,

for we don't know how soon

it will be.

A festive noise will be heard

throughout the world.

Screams of joy

that no one can hold us as prisoners

anymore.

Dreams and hopes

crushed by something

beyond our control.

Hunger consuming us

waiting for a genuine new day.

Author's Note: During this time all of us longing to go back to our lives and living them as we pleased. And we can't wait for the tomorrow to come when that is possible.
