Echoes of Valour: The Widow's Grace

Her days are spent in silent grief

Katsiaryna Endruszkiewicz

In sombre shadows, she stands alone,

The widow of a soldier, heart turned to stone.

Her eyes, once filled with laughter's glow,

Now bear the weight of sorrow's woe.

Her days are spent in silent grief,

A soul adrift, seeking no relief.

For in her arms, she once held tight

The love of her life, now lost to the fight.

The flag unfurled, a somber token,

A nation's gratitude, softly spoken.

But in her heart, the wounds still raw,

A silent ache, an eternal flaw.

She tends to memories, fragile and dear,

Of whispered vows and dreams sincere.

Yet amidst the pain, a quiet pride,

For the soldier she loved, who bravely died.

She bears the burden, though heavy it seems,

A widow's sorrow, a soldier's dreams.

For in her loss, she finds her might,

A beacon of hope in the darkest night.

So honor her, the widow strong,

Whose love endures, though the soldier's gone.

For in her tears, in her silent plea,

Lies the essence of courage, for all to see.
