Echoes of Fading Love
A Poetic Elegy to Love's Departure
In the hush of night, love's sorrow weeps,
A symphony of longing, where silence creeps.
In whispered echoes of a love now gone,
A heartache's ballad, a melancholy song.
The stars, once bright, now dim and pale,
As love's warmth fades, an empty trail.
A tender touch, now a distant dream,
In shattered whispers, love's silent scream.
The roses weep, their petals fall,
In love's garden, an untold pall.
Promises whispered, now lost in time,
In love's demise, a mournful chime.
A haunting echo in every sigh,
Love's bittersweet, a tear-stained sky.
Memories linger, a poignant ache,
In love's retreat, a heart may break.
A love once vibrant, now turned to grey,
In twilight's embrace, it fades away.
A wistful gaze, a tear-streaked face,
In love's lament, an empty space.
Yet in this sadness, a glimpse of grace,
Love's lesson learned in its embrace.
For even in endings, love survives,
In tender whispers, where hope revives.

Andrew, this is lovely, albeit sad, although your ending gave it that little bit of hope we all have when relationships sour. Well done!
This was so poignant and emotional! Loved your poem!
