In those last moments, as it all turns to night,
Say a prayer for the knowing,
Their final moments, when they see the dying of all that's bright,
Their finales, when into the light they are going.
One who's in his last days, damned by having a date,
Poor souls unable to enjoy the sun's warm rays,
Carrying the burden of the immediacy of their fate,
Only able to see in the eye of their minds, the dreams of better days.
The lucky ones, not alone, surrounded by their loved ones and friends,
They did something good with the time they had,
To be remembered when they meet their ends,
And have stories not remembered only as sad.
Around you, they are, knowing their clock ticks faster,
A silent solace with their dreams,
Their lives crashed in disaster,
I have missed something, it seems.
