Dreams that do not become reality

We can always dream and hope

I spread my hand in supplication.

My eyes glowing with the unexpected,

Assurance that yes it will happen

And happen soon.

But, then again nothing.

Was hoping to win the lottery

Was hoping to meet you.

And still I am waiting , dreaming.

Turning every penny in my hand

Hoping against hope that this time

Just this time,

Paradise will be put down there before me.

Just for me and then some

To share with the children,

Trust fund for the grandkids

And so on

And maybe who knows my own flat or house .

Which ever will safest , to leave alone.

As I plan on doing a lot of traveling.

Montreal in September

Pondichery in November

And then December stay put for the winter months.

But ,…

The reality of life

Hits again and nothing

At all happens

And nothing will change

And why should it ?

What did I do to deserve this

And

And then I close my eyes.

I will not cry .

I will not give in to despair .

Tomorrow is another day

And a new promise, and more dreaming.
