Dreams (For Chris)

To most dreams are just a foggy haze brought on by sleep,

they are the ones who have given up on hopes and fairytales.

Too busy caring about possessions and the status they want to keep.

In the end they are the ones stuck within their sadness.

On the outside their lives may seem grand,

but inside they are left with only emptiness.

It takes strength and courage to wander from the known path,

and sometimes your final destination seems farther than forever.

But as long as you remember the clearness of your vision,

if you achieve true happiness is something you'll never have to wonder.

The ones who dare to dream while they're awake,

are blessed with more richness than they know.

For they are the ones whose hearts will never ache,

as long as they let their dreams grow.

If you ever doubt in your power to achieve,

just remember the courage and strength,

that brought you this far.
