A bird flies over his head singing its cheerful song,
As the sun's warm glow warms his back and makes his shadow long,
Inhaling the fresh spring air and the sweet scent of the morning dew,
He bends over and picks a bunch of wildflowers and heads down the road to see you,
Walking along the morning sun vanishes as the sky turns grey,
Trees begin to sway as the wind pushes him along his way,
He feels a drop and then another as rain begins to fall from the grey sky,
As the thunder crashes above his head a tear falls from his eye,
These aren’t tears of sorrow but of happiness and joy,
For many years there was a drought ever since he was a boy,
He skips and splashes through the puddles like a little boy would do,
As he skips in the distance a figures appear and he heads down the road to see you,
