wide eyed,

new to the wide, gaping jaws of our universe.

for the stars continue to sing

and the sky is where your wings can let you soar

or will you be the boldest coloured flamingo,

a bright eyed-macaw

or the loudest, funniest kookaburra?

soon you'll soar my little wide-eyed birdie,

unless you're an emu, then you'll win gold for your games of chasey

the screech or twitter of your songs,

or even the print of your claws,
