Distraction comes in many forms, diverse and wide,
It is shapeless like a deity, slyly does it hide.
So easily it manipulates, luring us astray,
Tapping an ad, leading us away.
Replying to Jessica, a momentary escape,
Answering an email, time begins to reshape.
Call it what you like, this cunning deception,
Time killer, diversion, a momentary interruption.
It can be an amusement, a tempting seduction,
Overall, its purpose is to scatter our focus,
Not to be conquered easily--squirrel!
