Steady tryna fight myself like I’m the enemy. Steady going out my way just to make you happy. Trying to forget the past, like it’s the death of me. Trying to get rid of all our stupid memories. I just wanna drown myself in lol my fantasies. Baby, there’s no need for that no room for jealousy. I just don’t wanna die alone without you. I know you never feel the same way I do. Sometimes I separate myself from reality. But then you think I’m really weird and think that I’m crazy. I just need someone to tell me everything’s okay. Spectating
I can't imagine dying like this, in a place like this; on a cold, dirty pavement with rush hour traffic screaming by and a crowd looking on while paramedics struggle to find space to move. Who could? Deep down we all think there should be a reason, a moment of clarity... or a family presence, at least. For this man, this boy, the rail thin woman lighting a cigarette in a faux fur jacket will have to do - she's been here since the start, her eyes tracking the movement of my shoulders as we fight to keep him on the right side of the line.
