In lands where sunsets burn like fire,
And the earth's embrace holds naught but sand,
There lies a beauty, harsh yet dire,
In the deserts vast and grand.
Beneath the endless azure dome,
Where heatwaves ripple and shimmer,
The sands stretch far, like waves in foam,
In a landscape vast and glimmer.
Where shadows dance in the noonday glare,
And mirages waver in the heat,
Life persists, though rare and spare,
In this land where extremes meet.
Cacti stand like sentinels tall,
With spines that guard their precious store,
While creatures scurry, agile and small,
In this land that many ignore.
At night, the sky is a canvas bright,
With stars that twinkle in endless array,
And in the coolness of the lunar light,
The desert reveals its secrets in sway.
For in this harsh and barren land,
There lies a beauty, wild and untamed,
Where solitude is both heart and hand,
And the spirit of nature is proclaimed.
So let us wander the desert's dunes,
And marvel at its stark allure,
For in its silence, the soul attunes,
To the beauty that will endure.
