And my eyes will sag

And I'll force all my smiles

And I'll see all the world tinted blue

And my back will hunch

And my bones will crack

And I'll sit there with nothing to do

And my brain will buzz

And my dreams will leak

And I'll start to confuse night and day

And my hands will shake

And my teeth will itch

And I'll rattle and wither away

And my family'll visit

And they'll visit less often

And they'll be close but feel very far

And I'll travel on boats

And I'll swim in wide rivers

And invent the world's first flying car

And then Death will find me

And then he'll shake my hand

And say "I've been looking for you"

And I'll ask him "what for?"

And he'll turn and say "follow"

And I'll leave this place without a clue

About the Creator

Ryan Giese

I'm not formally educated in creative writing, or anything really, so don't expect much from me. I have, however, read bits and pieces of a poetry textbook I found at a thrift store.
