Birthday Wishes to Heaven

Throughout most of my life

You were there to help me with the strife

You waited when I lagged and couldn’t keep pace

When I was down and sad, you put a smile on my face

You fought for me when I couldn’t fight

When things went dark, you brought the light

You taught me how to be a lady and fix my hair

Yet you also taught me how to be crazy with flair

You were older than me

But you always took the time to see

You taught me never to be a fake

And you always made my birthday cake

We were sisters not by blood or birth

Which made our bond tighter than anything on earth

Without you, I’m lost at sea

I’ll always love you, Vickie Lea

Happy Birthday in Heaven, you’d be 55

If I had your wish, you’d still be alive
