The final journey we all must take
Through the gates of death, we'll make our way
Leaving behind all that we've known
To face the great unknown
The journey is one we can't escape
No matter how much we might debate
For death comes for us all, one day
And takes us on our final way
We'll leave behind the ones we love
The ones who've shared our joys and sorrows
And journey to a place beyond
Where life is but a distant song
Yet even in the face of death
We can find hope, and take a breath
For though our bodies may decay
Our spirits will live on, in some way
Perhaps we'll live on in the memories
Of those we've loved, and those who've loved us
Or maybe in the stories we've told
That will live on, as we grow old
And though we may fear the great unknown
The journey to a place we've never known
We can take solace in the fact
That death is not an end, but a final act
A curtain call on life's great stage
A chance to turn the final page
And journey to a place beyond
Where life and death are intertwined
So let us not fear the final journey
But embrace it with grace and dignity
For though it may be filled with sorrow
It's a journey we'll all take, tomorrow.
