dazzling

I hope...

I miss the way your presence would curl around me like a morning mist. I miss the way I would dissect the tone of your voice and run my gaze over the softness of your facial features. I miss the memory of your words, fresh in my mind, able to replay over and over until they began to fade.

I hope you are standing before the most dazzling sunrise, absorbing a constellation of colours. I hope your fireplace is warm, the kindling infinite, and your heart content.

I hope I find the kind of happiness I might’ve discovered in you, had the world rotated slightly differently.
