Daydreams

of an unrequited love

You call me out of the blue to say you're in town to see me.

You show up at my bar and surprise me in front of my friends.

You ring my doorbell in the night because you miss me.

These are my daydreams of you.

I wake up with your arms around me when they weren't there before.

I'm in your town for a visit and I surprise you at your work.

I run into you on a vacation unexpectedly and we smile at each other.

These are my daydreams of you.

Do you daydream about me?

You hug me from behind in line at the coffee shop on the way to work.

You're on my porch waiting to surprise me when I get home.

These are my daydreams of you.

We share a meal and comment on the programs on TV.

We catch each other's glance, walking home from breakfast.

These are my daydreams of you.

Do you daydream about me?
