Day in My Life

There is No Way Back

By Yoga PhratamPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

It's snowing tonight.

My hands are frozen.

Everything I hold on,

gone and won't come back.

The more I attempt,

the more difficult it is to get,

and the more I run,

the further away I become.

Memories fade away.

one by one in purgatory,

Flying in the wind

to reach your new aim.

Hope has vanished as the years pass.

I couldn't find the song.

"footprints of an old lover."

Take this rose,

Don't injure yourself.

Blood pooled on the ground.

witness to the massacre that night.

Your patience and loyalty,

Even thinner than the veins.

This love stalks me.

Everywhere I go.

Unfortunately,

There is no way back.
