Customer Service
Ever feel like you never do enough for others? Having to show respect but not receive it in return? Customer service is a hard job but with a little patience we should be able to work together and understand one another.
Over the yelling
Being pissed cause a number can't be found
You work here like all the others
How hard can things be to find out
You are rude and demanding
It isn't just our fault
Do your part and it will stop falling apart
Just because you have a degree
Doesn't mean you can belittle me
You are no smarter or perfect in anyway
We should work as a team not be treated meanly
So much disrespect being passed around
Then we sit and scratch our heads wondering how
We caused this when we started disrespecting one another
All began when others thought they were better then each other
Communication is the key
We shouldn't have to explain every little thing
We all have a role within this place
Let us come together and express it
We aren't mind readers or able to do as much as you
So, don't assume when you can't even understand what we do
This hospital is like dealing with children
What more can we do
I'm tired and stressed from all the screaming
If you can't complete your job, then just leave it
You knew from going to school what you were up against
You make the big bucks doesn't mean you can mistreat the rest
Everyone says to let it go, but respect is given when received
We are mistreated no matter how polite we be
Life may not be fair but eventually you will see
It will all come crumbling down on thee
Be careful how you treat one another
We work in the business of saving lives
So, stop being self-centered and pull it together
Tired of being yelled at by physicians, nurses, and other employees. It just isn’t right. We aren’t mind readers and we don’t have all the information because others choose not to update. If you can’t keep information updated, how are operators supposed to know information has changed. We can’t just dig it out of a hole. We are one of many departments who are notified of changes months later. Instead of being one of the top departments to know of the change in the first place. Yet we are to bite our tongue and take the yelling and screaming. We shouldn’t have to. You show respect to receive respect no matter how you look at it. Same with the patients, to get good service, you should respect, be kind and polite to the caller on both ends. They are just as bad as the employees. You yell acting like we are going to know what you need when you are the one calling us and the only one who knows what you need. It is outrageous to have to just sit back and listen to someone yell at you and say, “You called me, what do you mean you don’t trace the phone calls”, in all reality we get the short end of every stick and are left in the dark to roam. We want to raise our children in a better environment, yet we aren’t doing anything to change it. We are repeating a cycle that continues to spin out of control. Overall, we hold the key in changing how we do things, the way we talk and how we fix a situation. At the end of it all only us as humans can choose to make good choices for ourselves and others around us. We can choose to be respectful, kind, and polite. Instead of jumping down someone’s throat, you should take a minute to breath and think of how to access the situation more calmly. When someone doesn’t do that of course the other person is going to defend themselves in rage as well. It is a vicious cycle that we repeat all because we can’t get our own way. We like to assume others will do everything for us when in reality you must do it for yourself. You can’t expect others to always have your back, no matter the situation. So be respectful, don’t assume when making a call to a hospital or any other call center that they know the reason for your call or where you need to be connected to. Until you are in their shoes you won’t understand.
