Poem

By Josh MallerneePublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In times of fear and doubt

Twilight is the color throughout

Light extinguished by the unknown

Shadows seem to have overgrown

Nerves will get the best of us all

Inevitability makes us all feel small

Voices and words send us down a slope

Looking within to find our inner hope

Doubts mask the inner voice within

Eyes open to see a light, though thin

Remembering friends and neighbors

Reminded a community never wavers

Morning light is just around the corner

Hidden from our mind like a foreigner

Raising the spirits of sisters and brothers

The sun rising above the dark that smothers
