Before a single peep,
When everyone is in their beds and dreaming fast asleep.
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When one pops up their head,
Then excitedly wakes the others and they all jump out of bed.
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When all gather around the tree,
And it's star and gleaming lights shine bright for all to see.
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When all pass around the gifts,
And tear off the wrapping paper while cheers of joy are in the midst.
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When the merry music plays,
And on comes the man who sings "Happy Holidays..."
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When sweet scents flutter through the air,
And cookie decorating is a family affair.
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
When all tend to unwind,
And worries are forgotten because "It's Christmas time."
Comfort is Christmas Morning,
And everything it brings,
Joy, peace, and love- the greatest of these things.
