Comes Around, Around it Comes

Read it front ways, read it backwards.

Lightening never strikes twice.

Too late once the deed is done.

Bloodied face, hands, and guts.

Pouring from their skin.

Shattered into a million pieces,

Skull, bone, and glass.

The silence is defining,

They do not move one muscle.

The sound of flesh upon the ground,

Body and force colliding together,

Unaware of that which will come after,

Walker’s’ eyes locked on in front,

Driver’s mind lost to the skies,

From 10 to 30, speeding faster than you can think,

Jelly feet pushing, there’s no stopping them now,

Hands behind the wheel,

Blissed, oozed full of liquor.

Joyful, full of celebration,

A night to be remembered,

This unforgettable night,

Too late the deed is done,

When lightning strikes twice.

“Blissed, oozed full of liquor.” is a line that stood out to me, and this is a tragic story, especially when read reverse in the order of events. Nicely done! Good luck in the challenge😊
