Colour Blind

True colours

Blond hair, blue eyes

I entered many coloured doors

Opened by red lips smiling

White legs striving

Golden sunglasses

Tainting the colours of luck

Years and many shades later

The same cheerful but brighter

Girl enters green meadows

And silvery woods

With her Greyhound friend

Who lifts her shady moods

I meet and mix with young Tovy

Short brown hair and lonely

A beige girl with a dog’s name

Dreaming of being bold and blue

Owner of a three coloured puppy

Rescued and happy

Rainbow stars sparkle

Between our shades

My bright colours

Match her soft tones

Or must I say his?

Our dogs play without worries

And they love us

No matter what

Colourblind

They can’t be bothered

Appreciating any palette

As long as it’s kind

Tovy hates his female tones

His soft coloured nature

The pastel of his face

He dreams of growing a black beard

And having a dirty dark voice

But I like what I see

Pigmentation at its best

I love to love

All colours of the rainbow

All shades of grey

Internal and external nuances

Rich, deep and complex
