An Ekphrastic Sonnet
Do not be alarmed: I am strange, I know
Ab ovo, I ached to be like the others
To swim with the collective, normal flow
But none of my kin felt like my brothers
Spiders do not have grinning, primate mouths
But mine is as articulate as yours
Long research and some dark and secret vows
Let me find a source from which wisdom pours
You can hear it too, if that is your wish
But I will have to help you understand;
You are also an unusual fish
Now, you and I can form a school most grand!
Powerful knowledge my small bite can give
In weak ignorance, do you wish to live?

GOOD
After this, a spider bite seems inviting. Does he have a little toothbrush?
This was so creepy, lol. Loved your poem. Someone else has also written about this spider but I can't recall who. Maybe Paul or Rommial but I can't be too sure 😅😅
If a spider bite can give Spiderman superpowers why can't it dispense knowledge? Interesting premise.
