Claws

It's a jungle

Life has claws It never used to have claws

I remember a time when it was sweet

When people said what they really meant

And love satisfied every need

Now its all false and covered up they’re just messing around with your head

Make you believe what they want you to see

While Planning something else instead

Trust is a fragile emotion

hunger for Love makes you eat up the lie

Deceit kills your peace and your self esteem

Until you are empty inside

Love isn’t real it never was

Its the grandest of all phi-sods

A trick to steal your common sense

Without you knowing that you were robbed

And the pain of the lie just keeps stabbing

And it all comes out in the light

Words used to sedate and control you

Suppressing the courage to fight

You were never really that special

Replaced easily with better than you

There are many to fill the void that you left

Why would he settle for you
