City Lights & Starlight: Finding Magic in the Mundane

Beneath the hum of city lights, where dreams like embers hide, There whispers of magic in the mundane, if only you take a stride. No cauldron’s flame, no chanted rhyme, just eyes that truly see, The starlight woven in a cobweb, the moonbeam on a key.

The rustle of a sparrow’s wing, a feather soft and gray, Can carry wishes on the wind, a whisper on its way. The morning dew on blades of grass, a teardrop of the dawn, A chalice for the sun’s first kiss, a ritual reborn.

The laughter shared with loved ones, a chorus of sound, A spell to ward off shadows, where joy and light are found. The scent of rain on thirsty earth, a cleansing, fragrant brew, Renewing life, a whispered verse, the magic starts anew.

The crackle of a book’s worn page, a whispered tale untold, A portal to a thousand worlds, a story to unfold. The kindness offered to a stranger, a seed of hope you sow, A ripple in the cosmic pond, where blessings gently flow.

So let not magic be confined to rituals grand and wise, But seek it in the simple things, beneath the open skies. The dance of dust motes in the sun, a symphony of light, The whisper of the wind through leaves, a lullaby at night.

For magic lies not in the grand, but in the heart that sees, The spark that ignites in the soul, carried on the breeze. So open wide your senses, let wonder be your guide, And find the magic in the mundane, where joy and dreams reside.
