Childhood and Innocence

Poem

By Mr AddyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In a world so wide, where time does unfold,

Lies a realm of innocence, a treasure untold.

Childhood's enchantment, pure and serene,

Where dreams take flight on wings so pristine.

Like a gentle breeze on a summer's day,

Innocence dances, where hearts find their way.

Laughter, like music, fills the golden air,

Echoing joy in a world free from care.

Imagination blooms in a vibrant array,

Painting the world in colors so gay.

A castle of dreams, built with sand and hope,

Where dragons are slain and heroes elope.

Tiny hands reach out to touch the unknown,

Eyes wide with wonder, curiosity sown.

Every moment a masterpiece, every sight a surprise,

As innocence unveils life's hidden ties.

Oh, the games we played, with hearts full of glee,

Hide-and-seek with shadows beneath a tall tree.

Skipping ropes and hopscotch, memories dear,

Bathed in sunlight, free from any fear.

But time, ever fleeting, takes its toll,

As childhood's innocence begins to unfold.

Yet fragments remain, tucked within our souls,

Whispering secrets, like stories untold.

For though we grow older, innocence lives on,

In memories cherished, forever strong.

A reminder of a time, pure and divine,

When the world was a canvas, waiting to shine.

So let us cherish childhood, like a precious art,

Hold onto its essence, let it never depart.

For within its embrace, we find solace and truth,

A beacon of light, in a world that's aloof.
