Anxiously awaiting your arrival

But you’re never going to show

Can’t believe I thought you’d come

Don’t know what I was waiting for

Everyone told me to chase after you

For you would not wait around for me

Guess I should have known better

Haven’t I learned this lesson many times before?

Imagine wasting your time and energy

Just for someone who leaves you wanting

Knowing they will not come without being called

Let me know when you are ready

My muse, I will be here

Now and forever

Only you can get me out of these doldrums

Past this state of passiveness

Quiet though you have been lately,

Restless I have been for your company

Silence cannot be your answer eternally

To my endless pleas

Under great duress I know you’ll return,

Voicing my deepest thoughts

Which will lend creative juices to my pen and

X-ray me right to my soul

You will expose me for all to see, make a

Zoo of me and my tragedies

I didn't realize this was an A to Z poem until I got to the end. Very well done. I felt the despair of waiting in my bones.

    Very nicely done.

I love this! Muses can be so fickle, and you penned this perfectly.

I love this, so clever how to compared it to a person, and took it a step further (someone who isn't into you). That's just what it's like sometimes! 😁

  • The yearning here was so intense and yoi packed so much for emotions between every line! So well done!

  • VERY GOOD

This flows so well, you don't even notice the letters at the beginning. Great writing.

A song sung for us all. A zoo for all times, no matter how much we try to organize them, I feel this poem.

Ooh, keep being hit with these last lines of late.
