Chalk

Boundaries

Art by Andrea Pinheiro “Various Land”

You carry lilac and salt water

Bending seasons to your will

You lift feathers and wings

But sometimes you are still

You prefer to be invisible

Yet your movements you cannot hide

Everything you touch

Has no choice but to glide

Because you take up so much space

Yet somehow none at all

You think amongst the trees they'll hide you

But betrayed by seeds

they fall
