censor me
a poem
sometimes i hear
(in my third ear)
disrepute's song
dishonor's tongue
shameful like moans
snaked under closed doors
"quiet girl
my roommates are home"
wretched whispers, too
"psst...the emperor's nude!"
distrust your eyes ma'am
lies, the whole lot of 'em
"wolves!"
yet, over there's
a whole pack of them
"what about placebos?"
damn, there's
a whole lack of them
third ear's making sense
my faith edges the fence
and i'm feeling a scream
punch the back of my lips
but i've lived on that hill
with one dairy cow
and i'm s'posed to do different
this time around
so to the man in black robes,
or them, in the white coat
i'm begging you both:
tape my mouth closed
because the newspaper says
the emperor is dead
and the empress
she wears
a new dress.

Trust the third ear! Deep, personal and hauntingly beautiful. You have a golden pen Morgana! 🥰
Oh Morgana, I have no idea how you do it, but every time I read your works they strike a chord. You choose the perfect words for description.
Wow nice piece 😉❤️💯
