The world, once so steady, now, in shambles it falls,
As the winds, of change, whip, and the earth, convulses and crawls.
The skies, so dark, and the air, so still,
As the ground, beneath us, crumbles, and the structures, they spill.
It's a scene, of destruction, as the buildings, they crumble,
And the people, they run, as the fire, it mumbles.
The sirens, they wail, and the screams, they resound,
As the catastrophic event, takes, its firm and unyielding ground.
The aftermath, is bleak, and the toll, so high,
As the families, grieve, for the ones, that have died.
And the survivors, they wander, in a daze, so lost,
As the reality, of what happened, begins, to engross.
But amidst, the ruins, there's hope, in the air,
As the people, come together, and start, to repair.
For in times, of crisis, the spirit, of humanity, shines,
And the courage, of the people, is what truly defines.
So though, the event, may be catastrophic, and bring, such great loss,
The human spirit, will rise, and rebuild, at any cost.
For we are stronger, than the forces, that seek, to bring us down,
And the love, and the kindness, in our hearts, will always be found.
