Castle of Dreams
In the City of Forests, sitting adjacent to Long Fellow Square, there is a Castle of Dreams
Dust covered window sills on foggy nights,
Flickering bulbs made of incandescent light.
These walls are old yet house the new,
Halls not quite hallowed and slightly askew.
Still, it is the tower of all things unseen,
A castle of memories where secrets convene.
Where the ghosts of time come to rest,
Whilst the living unleash what is suppressed.
Here sleep becomes an odyssey,
Breaking the mind’s barriers flawlessly.
Coincidences are no longer just that,
There are maps of the universe to gaze at.
Wayward messages from the ethereal,
Scatter across the mind in a morbid zeal.
Here the shadows threaten to sprout.
Subjecting the mind to both awe and doubt.
In these halls, spiders are made from light,
They leave behind questions not fright.
For the void devours and creates all things,
Beings beyond the veil are what it brings.
