Cascades Of Sunlight

The sun drizzles down the mirror - on droplets, off my window,

escaping it’s reflection, I suppose.

Accelerating speeds, sends it in a new direction.

controlling randomly the way that it should go.

The patterns sway and flow - giving way to pre-made notions,

care-freely going in the path of least resistance.

No stress or strife, just how it is,

a simple fall, into completely blind acceptance.

Not unlike the way life keeps me resting on my heels,

at any given moment, changes course.

Like a roller coaster, into curves I cannot see,

moved easily, with an unharnessed driving force.

Beautiful sun rays and rain mingle together,

blending into a Kaleidoscope of colors.

Mosaic patterns to mesmerize and please,

a simple display - yet unlike any other.

As I reflect on its reflection,

feeling a perfect peaceful pause.

I watch it swirl, changing patterns as it goes.

A skill it never practiced, but completes it perfectly -

leaving a pallet of designs on my window.
