In the quiet of the night,

A single flame dances bright,

Casting shadows on the wall,

In a gentle, waltzing sprawl.

Its glow is like a symphony,

Playing softly just for me,

Each flicker, each gentle sway,

A sonata in its own unique way.

The wax melts slowly, oh so true,

Like the passing of time, through and through,

But the light it casts will never fade,

In memories, it will forever be portrayed.

So let the candle burn on,

In the darkness, a beacon drawn,

A reminder of beauty in the night,

A sonata of candlelight.
