Can We...

Can we kiss, kiss until our lips hurt and feel numb and our mouths run dry

Can we run, run so fast we run out of breath and our legs are in pain

Can we laugh, laugh so hard our cheeks are numb and hurting, and we feel pain in our stomach

Can we hold hands, hold hands until our hands get sweaty and our fingers hurt because we do not want to let go

Can we stare at each other, stare until we can see our souls and our eyes get watery

Can we walk under the rain, until we feel our socks soggy, and our face is wet

Can we cuddle until we feel the heat of each other and our skins melt together

Can we catch fireflies, stare at them in a jar and let them go in the dark night

Can we kiss, kiss until our lips hurt and feel numb and our mouths run dry

Can we make love, make love like there is no tomorrow, like it's the last night of us together, feeling the galaxy between us.
