Burning Crush

Fiery Romance

Tossing and turning

Body flushed with heat

I thought it was a simple hot flash

Fan on high with AC set to low

Without a blanket on

You’d think I’d be cold

But the goosebumps on my body

Aren’t from the temperature

They're from your words

Here I lay, burning hot

A throb forming within the V of my legs

Just from the memory of your touch

From the last time we were together

Proving menopause is not always the cause

Thoughts of you rage through my head

Invading any sleep I manage to steal

Setting me right back to square one again

Turning and tossing

Mother Combs

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.
