You have a broken heart,
The fancy Galen said,
Tis’ in desperate need of a fix.
I’ll make it stop, he said
Crack open your chest,
Put pallets to flesh
Shock it, stop it, slice it
Carve it, mold it, make it anew
No worries son, he said,
It will be done in a bit or two.
Why though?
It doesn’t feel so bad
It doesn’t feel so old
How does a heart slowly break?
It doesn’t take much.
Maybe it was disillusionment
Distress, discontent, dissatisfaction
Maybe it was all that pain
Or maybe, just maybe
Maybe it was born that way.
