Broken dreams

In the still of night, dreams shattered,

Promises made, but nothing mattered.

Hopes once high, now lie in dust,

Memories fading, turning to rust.

A heart once full, now feels so hollow,

Lost in the darkness, drowning in sorrow.

Paths once bright, now veiled in gloom,

Futures dashed, like flowers in bloom.

Whispers of what could have been,

Fade away, lost in the unseen.

Tears fall silently, without a sound,

Echoes of broken dreams all around.

In the silence of the lonely hour,

Pain cuts deep, like a wilting flower.

Yet amidst the darkness, a flicker of light,

A glimmer of hope, in the depths of night.

Though dreams may be broken, and sadness may reign,

Hope still remains, amidst the pain.
