cigarettes

and sipping jack

never really were my thing

givin' idle threats

and talking smack

so we remember what you think

spinning thoughts around

in lost and found

throwing what's left over

down the sink

I think

I need

to leave this town

because this thing we're doing

stinks

you love

lookin down on me

reminding me

that I am foolish

you won't admit that's

what you said

but we all know it's kinda

true-ish

can't be held

to circumstance

leaving an out

for unseen plot twists

always the same ol

song and dance

shots of fifths'

and unnamed misfits

If you really wanted to

then, I know

that you would do it

this non committal

attitude

is skewed

and always leaves me

feeling stupid

if you want

to find an out

nothing and no one

holds you

to it

maybe

it's you

that all along

can't admit

it's you that

blew it

save your

watered down excuses

for the jack there

in your coke

you'll never know

what truth is

cuz your moral compass

has been broke (en)
