A bright world
Stood before
Wide open eyes
Awaiting the moment
Of adventure,
The next taste
Of the something
New-
Eager to step foot
On new terrain
And take in the
Mountains of a new world,
Without the clouds
Of memories from yesterday
The rain of days
Long past,
As climber prepared
For the next step towards
An end point most awaited
But most feared,
The next
A fickle thing
A worried thing
That we haven’t yet seen
Haven’t yet prepared for
And haphazardly throw
Our passed experiences on,
Throw blankets to cover
The goosebumps caused
By the unknown
That deep down we are
More acquainted with
Than ourselves
Despite years spent
Within train of thought.

I have always found a way to enjoy "The next taste Of the something New-" but most of us allow those 'fickle thing's to cause worry and fear and stop us. Happily - I can say not me. Beautiful, meaningful poem, thanks again.
