Humming Emptiness

You are like a lost case

In the middle of the ocean

Trying to shift my attention to

Things I am not attentive to

Like stupid gestures

Words without meaning or mesmerising

My thoughts

Only making me feel worse

In the sea with other fish and creatures

Fighting for a fugitive foe

Whilst several parts of my painting

Are asking me to alter

This little girl inside me

Feeling, thinking, and looking horribly

Dull

In ideal circumstances for the circus clown

Always asking me for a smile

And that's not exactly that

What I can offer

To be on good terms

With dark parts of my psyche

Undoubtedly taking over

Every positive pool of my perspicacity

Not wanting to let go easily
