Bleed Virginia

Of all the different nations and creeds

That called my Virginia home

I felt a dark memory has passed

But it has resurfaced with a new brand.

Southern culture, the rebel soul

A white mask to hide the death's head.

Enslavement is the game they play

The enemies of democracy.

The healing hand says forgive and teach

When they refuse to learn the lesson

Honoring them instead of casting shame.

Worshipping the burned cinders

Instead of building a new foundation.

Totalitarianism is the language they speak

Supremacy is their doctrine

Then clench the healing hand into a fist.

Call upon the spirit of Sherman

Burn the cotton fields and grow anew.
