In honor of Black History Month, let us recall,

The stories of resilience, standing tall.

From the struggles and the strife they faced,

To the triumphs and the victories embraced.

From the chains of slavery to freedom's call,

A journey of courage, breaking down each wall.

Leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks,

Inspiring change, leaving their marks.

Langston Hughes and Maya Angelou,

Their words of wisdom continue to imbue.

Harriet Tubman leading the way,

Guiding others to a brighter day.

From the Harlem Renaissance to the Civil Rights fight,

Black voices rose, shining bright.

Inventors, artists, scholars too,

Their contributions enriching me and you.

So let us celebrate, with hearts sincere,

The legacy of those we hold dear.

For Black History Month is a time to reflect,

And honor the past, with utmost respect.
