a drastic physical representation

full of light

leaving room for growth
a splash of blue
just enough for you to stand out
even though you never needed it to stand out
the blue in your eyes
it's the kind
that melts hearts
the kind
people get lost in
you came back
a girl trying to find herself
needing a fresh start
needing a real friend
because you weren’t the same person
your heart had been through hell
and it was tired of being abused
tired of being taken advantage of
learning the lessons
that it refused to learn in the past
finally seeing people
it needed a fresh start
it needed new
it deserved new
a new blue.
